On Sunday 13th July I will be running in the British 10K to support two amazing causes - HCF and the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity. Yes, running. Actual movement.
HCF provides grants to charities supporting young people to access improved health and education. This could mean an adventure activity course for blind young people; a specially-adapted wheelchair for young children with complex needs; or training and qualifications for a homeless young person looking for work. You can find out more about their work here: www.hilton-foundation.org.uk
The other beneficiary of my fundraising will be the Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, set up by superhero Josh Wilson and supermum Dawn Fidler. As a result of surgery for a childhood brain tumour, Joshua has grown up with increasingly complex needs. His parents have raised over £25,000 to fund the care and equipment Josh needs at home, and now they are going global. JWBTC provides support to young people undergoing treatment for cancer through financial solutions for specialist equipment, house adaptations and advice. See more at: http://www.joshwilson.org.uk
Any support you are able to offer will go straight towards making a massive difference to young people. On their behalf, thank you for your donation!
